What is Old Folks Day?
Old Folks Day began in Utah in 1875 and is all about saying thank you to our amazing older adults! It’s a fun-filled day packed with activities and a perfect opportunity for communities to show their appreciation to our cherished senior members.
How can I Participate?
Seniors can pick up a free Old Folks Day ribbon at any scheduled activity on October 1st. Wear your ribbon to join all the events free! (Caretakers included). Visit participating businesses or organizations wearing your ribbon to receive a free gift.
Who qualifies as a senior?
In many societies, 62 is often classified as a senior age due to the general trends of retirement and eligibility for certain benefits. However, we won’t be checking ID’s!
